I have dirt floor and cement floor and see a benifit with both. I love the cement's ease of cleaning you know where the bottom is. I can usually sweep it then shovel out the pile. It also keeps out digging predators. The only disadvantage I've found is it obviously would hold water if spilled but so would anything else but dirt. I have a pen of naughty silkies (or maybe we can blame poor depth perception on their crests) that dumped their water over daily until I started using the old heavy rabbit style crocks to water them. Man what a daily mess that was to clean up!
The dirt is easy to clean and drains well but most soil offers no protection from certain predators.
I have limited experience from my childhood with wooden floors and none with linoleum just that I would think they'd peck holes in it.
Good luck!
