Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: turkey or roaster

Jane, I have an X Factor going on in the main silkie barn. The blues and one splash have a chick. I had to move the feed and water down for it. Dave's white naked necks went back to the white pen except for one. She stayed with the white rooster in the gray pen. They are amazing because they can jump all pen dividers.
I counted white hens and roosters in the white pen, then put 4 partridge in the white pen. A gray who did not belong in the white pen, belongs in the gray pen, decided to beat up the partridge. Where was the gray hiding? Under the white broodys? I'd have noticed her if she out and about.
The teeny Netherlands red will not stop laying in the tank feeder. I took her eggs last night and put them under the broodys in her pen. Today all were back in the tank feeder along with an extra. I give up, she wins.
The blacks, blues, and splash pen is eating two trays and part of a tank feeder everyday, and licking their trays clean. When they are done with that they eat every inch of their pumpkins. If all of their crops weren't full I'd suspect mice.
My red pyle rooster is teaching Dave's buff cockerels how to be gentlemen when they breed the girls. If they make the hens/pullets yell, red pyle thumps them and knocks them off the hens. LOL!
White Corky is back to yanking on my pant leg if I do not pick him up within the first 30 seconds of coming in the barn. The problem is there are several others who want to be picked up first too.  Miss Buffy who sat on my shoe, my gray who comes to be petted, and Mr. Ed who has to be picked up and admired, and .... I have an X Factor going on my silkie barn every day.

I am so glad you have all ad lovely thanksgivings. On our X factor this week one of the singers did a thanksgiving dinner for the  lady judge from USA, ( I think her name is Tulisa) I only watched this weeks programme so have not been studying the judges names, sorry.
I swore I would not get into it this year. But have been following a few on you tube. One that went out last week was a 16 year old girl called Ella Mcpherson. She was amazing & should have won it. But I am 100 % certaing she will make it to the top anyway. Their is a young lad on it called Jahmene Douglas he has an incredible voice. He is from Swindon, that is the town I was born! He worked at asda. He is a lovely lad. not too bigheaded, quite shy. I hope he wins, but it is going to be very tough !
