Any older an they run the danger broken legs,(they are that heavy) or heart attack. Normally feed is removed from them at night. Most of your supermarket roasters 7-8# or more are Rock-cornish roosters. The little cornish hens at 1-1/2 to 2 lbs are 2 week old hens.
