Maybe one of your chickens ate it. Mine love goldfish.
I keep them in the horse trough and if they die, I
feed them to the hens. Of course, the raccoons are
good fishers so they go that way too.

I havent seen another Zilla but a lot gets past me!
yes, we had to turn on the water heater in the coop.
Hubby is not fond of tarps but they have a large coop
if it gets windy...
Sadly I was a little slow on the draw getting the
goldfish out of the little man made pond. I just went
out there and found one dead, never found the other...
:-?
Not that all life isnt valuable, but we were going to
get rid of them and fill in the pond anyway next
year.. we had a baby chick fall in and drown this
summer.
This little pond is one of those cheap little plastic
numbers that was here when we moved in.. i insisted
that we keep it as I have always wanted a pond.. but
after the baby fell in, no way...
Its not level so you cant keep it full enough that the
chickens dont have to stretch to get a drink, which is
why the baby fell in...
And its not deep enough to keep the fish in over
winter, last year i had to put them in a bucket in my
basement ( not ideal)
