LOL!  Probably what did it for me too. I have several of the students in my LA class and in my cotaught LA classes; they decided they might as well get along. I really enjoyed teaching social studies for the hour; my social science certification includes the entire social science groups.

Cathryn--I have to share the first time I subbed at our high school.  They had actually called my husband (I hadn't even thought to put my name in there as I'd always taught elementary) but apparently they were desperate and asked me to come too--for Physics/Chemistry. 
 
First class session, first kid hit the doorway and let out a whoop of delight--sub today, gonna be a great day!  He took off down the hall to spread the word, loudly.  Second kid, also now whooping, hit the doorway--and the grin fell off his face and shattered on the floor.  You could hear him thinking, "Oh sh**--we aren't gonna get away with *anything*--I had her in first grade!"
