Hoping you are able to bury him at home. The length of our driveway is lined with cats and dogs, and the top of the pasture with horses. Last week, we--that is, our hunt--had to put down a good hound who developed cancer--one who had been timid and withdrawn due to a bad kennelman, but who had blossomed over the last year and a half. Our kennels are on state land and we can't bury them there, so Jazz came home with me. I transplanted a small plum tree over her today.
