Fly predators are very helpful in horse stables, cow, etc. I have never bothered with them since the chickens and guineas eat anything that flies and at $18 a bag, that is too expensive chicken feed for us! We use the bags and the fly strips and Mr. Sticky, with is a long sticky string on a roller.
