Re: [CHICKENS-101] Bats

I had my blackberry bramble and multi-flora bramble proof leather gloves on. Plus I very very careful. She sure was cute, and wasted no time flying off the deck.

We have rehabbed a few bats & make sure we wear heavy leather gloves when working with them.

My son Chris works with bats at the Cincinnati Museum Center. (And yes, he has his preventative rabies shots.) He called me one day sounding glum. When I asked him what waws wrong, he said the bats had eye infections and he was driving them to the vet, and one of them got loose and was flying around the van. He was afraid that if he had an accident noonen would stop to help him. My answer? "Whyi n the hell are you calling your mother when you shouod be paying attention to your driving?"
