Deb, yes it was Kiwi. I showed her to him so he would understand and he actually cried out.
Broke my heart.
I have four little chicks that are his and the hawk didn't get them so the hens must have been after him too. They had the chicks in the coop.

It wasn't dark yet, he hit at about a half hour before dusk. Too bad to have to lose the hawk too.
