Yum, I'd like it too. :>):  You are already on top of things making sure he doesn't give them too much. French Vanilla people food or meal worms chicken food - my chickens love everything people food way better than chicken.
I drink a milk protein powder mixed with water or milk in the mornings I am too tired to deal with food to make sure I eat something.  Dropped 50lbs in the last year even though I still take one med. that makes people gain weight. Your protein powder would be a good molting treat and cold weather treat too.

Thinking of protein--Someone gave my husband 5 cans of a powdered French vanilla protein supplement (total of 12 1/2 pounds!!) made to be mixed in milk  He's determined the hens ought to have it--and promptly mixed a batch into a paste/slurry, which they went absolutely nuts over.  (So did the cat.) 
 
Is there anything I should check for that hens shouldn't have?  The ingredients look fairly harmless   (I suppose I'll have to make sure DH doesn't give them an overdose, though!)
 
I wonder if they like the stuff better than meal worms...
