Boy, I'd be leary about using anything gas-fired in a chickens coop, unless the entire thing were located outside of it and piped in somehow. The gas emissions from it's pilot light going out somehow even just once and coming home to a coop full of dead birds would not be a lesson I'd want to have to learn.
That's just a personal opinion 'tho...

Does anyone have an idea at how to heat chicken water using a propane heater of some kind? We live in Alaska off the grid and can't use electricity if we leave to go visit the kids for 2 weeks. It can get minus 20 to minus 35 in our part of the state. The chickens winter in our 72' x 24' unheated green house. Thanks for any help. >>
