I have a very tall, gigantic pendesenca partridge rooster named Frank the Tank who I like very much. He is 3, has a huge flower on the back of his huge comb. Frank was raised with silkies, taught not to bite the babies, (silkies), is afraid of his own shadow, is not street wise with the outdoors at all and is petrified of the outdoors because of a hawk scare when young, has only been in pens with his own fans and ice water when hot out, heat lamp when it is cold out, demands four 1/2 qt food dishes in his pen with different foods, treats, and 2 water dishes - makes him feel rich. Ok, well maybe it is me that is spoiling him but he is the biggest, sweetest, and prettiest rooster you have ever laid your eyeballs on and he minds me. He also tells me when I am feeding and watering that he likes fresh water at least once or more a day and to please chop his dandelions so he doesn't get a crop bond problem. If there is a home somewhere where he would be the only rooster, be enclosed no outdoors without covered fencing, would have heat when it is cold, and fans and ice when it is hot out, be told his crowing is beautiful, protected from mean hens, and have his own pen or rabbit hutch inside a barn, and try to understand his talking when he tells you 3 of his 4 coop cups are low, he could come and live with your girls.
Otherwise Frank the Tank is going to live at my house forever and his genetic make up will die with him. The only reason that would be a shame is I do not have pendesenca hen for him and he is beyond gorgeous with a great personality. This rooster is so gentle I believe a serama rooster could do him harm, seriously.
