My “chicks” are almost four months old and there are several cockerels—I just don’t want Barty and Icky killing them! I have three groups of chicks right now that are in ex pens in the dutch barn. Silkies, Cochins and Games (Modern and OE) I keep asking them to consider getting along, but noooooo, they hate each other.
I think I will introduce some at night to the older Silkies and keep my fingers crossed. But NOT IN THIS HEAT…….they are already stressed.
Thanks for the offer, Cathryn. I am going to hold off on adding anymore for a bit. I am still hoping Icky will throw his nakedness to one of the eggs, but I haven’t tried real hard to hatch them.

Laura, I am so sorry Splashie died in the storm. You could see if your roosters will take on the all of the chicks and finish raising them up. Put them all in at night around the two roosters in the dark, and check them in the morning. If you need more nn silkies I have a blue, gray, and a partridge with penciling 2.5 months old.
