Last April the Southern Living magazine in NYC contacted me about an article they were going to run about backyard chickens. The Conyers/Eastside Poultry Meetup group that I facilitate was asked to provide some different breeds of chickens and roosters for the photo part of the article. They flew a photographer down to Conyers, GA and we met at The Stock Market, our local feed store and enjoyed sharing our poultry for the photo shoot. It really was fun.

I have just received word from Southern Living Magazine that the August edition is on the stands and the article and photos are being featured! Really exciting for us. Pick up a copy of the magazine and see where backyard chicken raising is headed and enjoy the pictures of some of our favorite chickens/roos. Mine is the white Silkie! Such a showoff!
