Next week looks good. We are usually home, unless I convince dh that there is an awesome movie to be seen and buttered popcorn to be eaten!
I have a wonderful variety and get very dark eggs, medium dark, light, cream, white, mint green and olive green! Of course, I can only match so many to their producers…….but apparently I have some Marans and didn’t know it!

That sounds awesome. What do your plans look like for next week? This week
is swamped for me. Way too much to do. I need a vacation. Lol
So, black marans are not reliable layers? Guess the problem is I have 2 of
my three layers are black marans. The new chicks coming up are olive eggers.
I would love to have a blue egg layer. My wish list is one olive egger, one
blue egg layer and one really dark egg layer. Then I would be happy. Lol

Val,
You can get Southern States in Louisa, too. At least they are
local grains that are milled right there. I don't' know what to say on the
laying. Every other day isn't a bad record for a non productive breed, so
I'd be happy with that. I am getting close to three dozen eggs daily. Too
many. We have penned all the guineas and we are getting 6-8 eggs daily from
them. I have guinea eggs in the incubator and three dozen more ready to
incubate.
