RE: [CHICKENS-101] Chicks to hens and roosters. When and what.

 

What you can do with birds you don't want to keep:

Sell them

Give them away – maybe via an ad on FreeCycle or CraigsList

Eat them

Feed them to another animal (like a dog or cat)

It is a personal decision.  In all honesty, I think a person should have a plan BEFORE deciding to have chicks.  (Having a plan doesn't mean you can't change your mind.  It just means you put some thought into it beforehand – part of being responsible IMO.)
