Sheryl, I've lost 2 of the 3. :( Thank you for asking. My clear buff died today. She was an older buff, but a strong and petite beauty. It's forecast for 95 Thursday. Thursday morning I am moving the broody silkies out to the baby barn along the woods. I'll leave the chicks and seramas.
The 3 silkies that were affected by heat all have/had outdoor pens and were in the main barn, and very thick, heavy down. I'll have to pack dishes with ice and hope temps don't go higher than forecast.
I have 2 huge industrial fans on stands, a round farm fan, 2 huge metal box fans, and a regular box fan in the main barn, a box fan in the cattle barn, a round farm fan in the woods baby barn, and 2 box fans in the other baby barn. Keep telling my husband I could run an air conditioner in the main barn and put them all in one barn for what it costs to run so many.
