Re: [CHICKENS-101] Got a Rasp of Guineas

LOL! They are cute when little, just never quit handling until they are a good 16 weeks old if you want them to be decently tame. There is a reason a number of guinea fowl are called a confusion of guinea fowl and/or a rasp of guinea hens. Mine were kept in the brooders until 4 months and handled daily so they didn't act stupid.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Got a Gaggle of Guineas

So... I got 10 dozen guinea eggs from a guy a few miles away ... found him on Ebay ... He said they should pretty much all hatch ... well ... he was pretty correct !!!!!!!!!

Over the past 48 hours all but 15 eggs have hatched ... omg ... who needs a guinea? $3 apiece
