That's a great story! Research is discovering that birds are a lot
more intelligent than they have been given credit for in the past.
Especially when you consider the size of their brains. A well known grey
parrot (?) named Alex was taught a tremendous amount of
language/communication skills by a researcher (Alex is dead now). I saw a
show about Alex and the researcher would put several different colored
objects in front him and ask what color each one was and it would reply
correctly. Then she put identical but different colored items in front of
Alex and he would pick out the correct colors. It was truly amazing. So
next time someone calls me a birdbrain I will take it as a compliment.
