Re: [CHICKENS-101] Rooster lost his voice...

I've had a dog bark itself hoarse but never a roo. I suppose it's possible. I'd keep an eye out for any other signs of illness too just to be safe though.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Rooster lost his voice...

He is healthy and chasin the ladies like normal.. but when he tries to crow he sounds like a mouse ( per hubby, I have not heard it)

The only thing different is ever since we got rid of the guineas (last weekend) he does alert more often, not sure why.. there is nothing to alert for ..

Perhaps he is hoarse? another thread I saw online said that it will get better on its own (at least in their experience)

thoughts? I dont want to medicate unless its needed.. I dont know how i will be able to keep him seperate if I need to do that ...
