If Little Chick were mine I'd: Because birds get sick easily from any kind of stress I'd put Chick on an antibiotic. I'd splint her little leg with horse tape and a band aid, put Chick in a large, long, hospital box in my laundry room with a radio on low, a low watt light bulb in the corner Chick can get under or away from. Chick would have vitamins in her/his water, and time to heal.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] little chick fell from the perch
Little chick is about half the size of her siblings (not a banty) and is always trying to do 'like the big chicks'. well apparently last night she tried to get too high on the perch and fell hard. when she stands she doesn't put weight on one leg and doesn't seem to want to sit with any weight on that side either.
I've put her in a box in the kitchen for the moment. would like a few pointers on how to help her recooperate and when the time comes how to reintroduce her to the flock.
thanks for your help
