Re: [CHICKENS-101] Re: Silly silkie

>:D< big hugErin, They do provide hours of entertainment, don't they? Not many breeds of chickens would mess with a teeny Japanese, they're feisty little, beautiful chickens who think they are larger than all the other chickens! Wish I could let mine out for even a little bit.
Because of hawks, I don't dare let them out of their pens. Yesterday, one of Michelle's roosters spurred her and escaped. There was a huge hawk over the pens, barns, and surrounding area within a short time. Won't have to worry about this chicken causing a car accident.
How are you doing? I haven't from you in a long time and miss you. Are you going to Alma, MI, for the show?

Jeeze Cathryn.....that visual almost made me lose it!!! Mine do the same thing sometimes!! Their coop is only 4' high, two stories so it does not provide the 'room' to fly up so to speak....but when I let them free range it is SOOOO funny!!!!! They even try to compete with my banty roo...and they are twice his timy size!

....he seems to kick chicken hiney though....they always back down from his tiny butt, thankfully WITHOUT fighting!
