Sorry about your chickens & the dog, but yes it is nice when the town works together to help out

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] Our Recent chicken story
We recently took our first vacation since my husband left. We had 26 chickens 1 dog 1 can and an inside bird. I hired somebody to come twice a day to check and feed. Our first night away we get a message, the dog is loose and killed 2 chickens. Day 2 another 6 chickens dead, day 3 4 more gone. Sad story yes. But I found out when we got back I found out half the town had tried to catch the dog. We live in a small town. Also several men came over and buried the bodies for us. Finally our Sheriff to come out and shoot our dog, it wouldn't stop killing and it was running loose. Please don't spam me for what happened to the dog. I share this story because of the friendship and love shown by all my neighbors who tried to help. Angela
