[CHICKENS-101] Re: sick chick--NOW Shavings?

 

I use potting soil as a base for my chicks, turkeys, geese etc ... since it is so dry, it is very absorbent. Because of the peat moss in it, it cuts down on odors. It is easy to change and can be dumped directly into a pot or the garden - no waste. And, a huge bag only costs $10 ... and what the heck, they will be scratching around in dirt soon anyway !!!
