Nancy at that price I can practicaly guarentee that your chicks are straight run. That means you have a 50/50 chance that they are all roosters. Ameraucana roosters are unpredictable. Sometimes called Easter Eggers they are a match up of odds and ends that lay blue/green tinted eggs. Depending on where they came from. TSC is not noted for top quality although you never can tell.
Keep the chickens separate from the ducks and keep them all warm. A big box with a light bulb, the old fashion kind that gets hot, works. The chicks will find the right place to be.

Went there yesterday and came home with 6 Americanas and 2 White Peking ducklings. Last time i did this i ended up with 6 RIR's roosters and 2 hens. You would think i'd have learned something Now I have questions...... can the chicks and ducklings be together? I have a piece of cardboard separating them, but the chicks keep squeezing thru to the other side. Also, how long do they need the heat lamp/light? I'm in Central Florida. This is my first time to have Americanas. Will the roosters be aggressive? I appreciate any information and advice.
