Sometimes when they're young and just beginning to lay they lay them any where. Then they figure out on their own to lay in the boxes where everyone else lays. Other times they don't learn quickly and people resort to making a box to sit on the floor in their favorite spot. Then after she gets used to laying there slowly move it closer to where you want her to lay until she's laying in the boxes with the rest of the feathered ladies.

I have 3 hens that will lay their eggs in the nesting boxes, but one who has begun laying who lays on the floor of the coop. Any ideas as to what to do?
