I will keep that in mind. We have some old decking boards that I put around
the bottom to keep things from digging in.

That sounds like it would work. As long as they have a place to get out of
the rain, I think they'd be fine. You might want to put pavers around the
perimeter to deter digging into it by predators. The roosting perches don't
need to be too high and with meat birds, their bodies get plump, but their
legs don't...so lower roosts would probably be better. I would also make
them similar heights since these birds tend to play "one upsmanship" and
they all want to be on the highest perch.
