Thanks, Catherine.  I hope to hear from him.  He may be close to Georgia, both the state and our friend.   Hope you are doin ok.  We just got rid of the flu at our house. 
 
I found a beautiful chick that I would love to have.    Called a Jubilee Orpington.  Greenfire Farms has a couple.  Chicks start at $195. each.  Will be on my wish list for a long time.

Susan, It would be great if Allen was close to you.  Maybe you'd hatch for him and he could buy silkie chicks from you?   Your silkies are nice sized, not over large, but just right for a child. In Allen's shoes, I'd attend the breeder's club and get some nice show bird culls.  :>):
