[CHICKENS-101] composting

 

We add the chicken manure, straw or hay whichever we are using for bedding oh, and shavings, and all the veggie leftovers and scrapings of veggies, banana peels, coffee grounds all added to the compost pile.

Ours is surrounded by three 5 foot pallets, open to the garden, and I , do turn if often, especially this winter as it has been very mild.

The straw insulates and keeps the warmth in the compost.
