All the more reason to raise as much of our own food as we can, and buy as close to home (from smaller scale farmers) whenever possible. I didn't need any convincing, but I'll pass along the recommendation to read Joel Salatin's "Everything I Want to Do Is Illegal"--great book, especially before an election.
