I got a Welsumer because they are supposed to lay darker eggs. Mine isn't laying yet so I can't really say but it's a very nice and beautiful bird. a friend of mine says it is her favorite breed.

All of my flock lays brown but the EE's, but they are varying degrees of brown also, and honestly I couldn't tell you who was laying what, since they are all mixed. LOL
