Re: [CHICKENS-101] Incubator 2012

I have 2 bators going. Little Giant. One, on my desk, has pheasant X's and several chickens eggs that not really sure what they will turn out to be. I'm doing this for some friends. Keeping what I want and they are getting the rest. I fired up my other bator today. It's brand new so checking on it to get the temp/humidity up so I can move the pheasant eggs into it later in the week. Chicken eggs, fingers crossed, should hatch by the weekend. Then moving the pheasant eggs back and putting some of my own eggs in the new one. Confused yet? LOL! I also have a Silkie and a bantam something setting eggs in one house. And 2 ducks setting eggs in another.
This is my first time using an incubator. I checked on BYC forum and found pics of how to make your own egg cups, so doing that. Using a 2x4 for turning.

Is anyone incubating their own eggs for Spring chicks? What system are you using?(i.e. Homemade, Commercial)
