[CHICKENS-101] snails, worms, and parasites

 

while learning about goat care, one of my classmates mentioned that one needed to also protect one's chickens from worms & parasites. she said that this was a HUGE problem in areas that had lots of snails & slugs. I was planning on letting the ladies stroll about in the garden & pasture, enjoying the little tasties. before I start running around like my hair is on fire is there any truth behind her warning? what precautions do you recommend?
