I've heard from many poultry and pigeon/dove keepers that apple cider (however, it has not been documented) is effective in controlling parasites. Even though I've not read documented literature to confirm this, it would seem that the acid in cider would make sense in being an effective deterrent with regard to changing gut ph resulting in an unfriendly situation for parasites and perhaps even killing them...?
Again, any thoughts on this?
