Off topic but your hen that got named JohnBoy is a bit like my cat that was named Maggie when it was a kitten. Only problem was that By the time we realized she was actually a he, the name was stuck on the poor critter, and was all he would answer to. Got a lot of strange looks when folks said, oh what a beautiful tom, whats his name? and I said Maggie. LOL, One man actually took offense, and said who the **** ever heard of a tom called Maggie?!

Besides, she's the grandson's chick chick (as he calls her) and John Boy is one of the few things he can say clearly. LOL. I would have changed it to Anell, since I have the rest of the Steel Magnolias :) However, when I say good night to all the girls and the dogs, it does make me chuckle to say goodnight to JB. My hubby thinks I have totally lost it. Just wait until I get the pig :)
