and another thing ( and I will get off my soapbox) there are very few things we do on these groups that are black and white... there are few right or wrong ways to do things... if something is not what you prefer its fine to state what your preference is and perhaps a constructive critizism as to why you dont like the other way...

instead of "what kind of idiot stands in a road? blah blah blah namecalling.. blah blah I am better than you" - kind of response...
you have stated your preference and not offended anyone one... if the road-stander wants to learn about your method -they can feel free to ask
.. but insulting someone is no way to teach them or share your way of doing things... even if they may be better...
all you have done is alienated the road-standers and now all they think is those darn river-floaters are mean as hungry tigers...
sorry for the silly analogy but its all i could think of real quick.. lol ...
I hope no one has to leave and we all can learn to hear how other ppl do things ,.... who knows one day you may find yourself standing in a road and you would have wanted to know the best way to deal with it...
