It probably would be wise to separate them but I raised my banty with the others without any problems, depends on the other breads, I have mostly RIR's and they don't much care.

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] New to Chickens - Size issue?
Hi Group,
I'm new to chickens. I picked up 11 one-month-old chicks yesterday.
I have a few questions but I'm going to ask each individually. I hope that is okay.
The feedstore told me that the chicks would all be the same size when grown but I'm thinking not. They are 1 Black Cochin (possibly bantam) 2 Gold Seabrights (certainly bantam?) 3 Buff Orpintons and 5 Black Barred Rocks. They have been raised together since birth do I need to separate out the smaller breeds?
Please advise.
Laura
