Teresa, You are a long ways from MI. It's a drive and a half to TX; I'v made the trip several times. :) My chickens like water melon too and boy do their get their crests, beards, and chests in a mess. They love tomatoes too. I have one hen who loves tomatoes so much she was always messy from them and I named her Tomato Chest. Imagine my surprise when the tomato didn't molt off. She is a red pyle. I have a trio of them. I think I forgot to mention red pyles on my list of silkies earlier. Oh well, what's one or two or three forgotten colors as long as they are actually in one of my barns. LOL!

Wish you were closer. We have several, but mine and my brother's chickens don't care for them. His pig does however, but the chickies will leave 'em alone, now watermelon they do love. -
