How funny that he stalks the cats! I love their colors on their heads and snoods, and how they talk to you. He sounds like a great turkey who is going to give you the poults you want in the spring and many hours of fun and entertainment.

Mine aren't that big but yes, when full grown, those legs and thighs! I can't believe the color changes on the male! He goes from blue head to white head to bright red wattles and his snood seems to have grown several inches overnight! He is also more vocal and we have conversations. I love having the turkeys free ranging, too. They sometimes come as far as our front deck and one day I heard him "gobbling" right under my office window.
He doesn't like the cats and will stalk them. If they stop and look at him, he looks the other way, as if to say. " la di da da……….la did a" but when they turn and start to walk away, he rushes and pecks them! A very funny sight!
