[CHICKENS-101] New to Chickens - Food Question

 

I have Month old chicks, they came to me on Universal brand chick mix from the feed store and water, of course.

Questions:
1. When can I start giving them veggie scraps? Which are best? Which are best avoided?

2. The initial area they will be in, has housed a conventional bird feeder for ages, with some spillover - is there any reason that would an issue for chicks? It's mostly millet, nyger seed, etc.
