Crickets are ridiculously easy!! Honestly - a 20 gallon fish tank is fine...get about two dozen crickets from the store, let them hang out for a few weeks, give them some places to hide and a food and water source (shallow dishes of water, or you can soak cotton balls when they start hatching eggs as the little babies drown easily!) and cricket food....and they really do all of the work! Will throw out some more info later... :)

Subject: [CHICKENS-101] mealworms and crickets
condition someone, or give an extra oomph to someone who's debilitated, but
they're SO expensive locally. I just ordered 1000 online ($15, certainly a
lot cheaper than the pet store) and plan to attempt raising my own so the
chickens can get them a little more often. Anyone done that that can share
some tips or hints? I'm also going to start raising them some crickets.
Hints and tips gratefully appreciated for that as well.
