Speaking of feed...
I wanted to have the local feed mill mix up a scratch grain for my girls to use as a treat and winter supplement, as the pre-made ones all have BHA or BHT in them.. What grains does everyone find that are favorites?

The importance of quality feed cannot be overstated. We are fortunate to have a local feed mill that has been in operation for 80 years. My son won't use any other feed. Their prices are competitive and he feels the hens look and act more healthy and lay better. They have developed this layer mix over the course of many decades and you know it is always fresh.
