Re: [CHICKENS-101] Egg laying

Fred, I was just about to ask the same question so I'll just tag along on yours (if that's ok) .  Also, I would like to know when I should change from chicken starter and what food(s) and supplements  I should go to.  I have 16 Rhode Island Reds that were born 5/10/2011.

Hello. I have a question for everyone. When do chickens start laying eggs. I have 2 red sexlinks, and a bared rock that are 20 weeks old. I also have4 buff orpington's, 2 americanas. that are 15 weeks old. I thought the sexlinks should be laying eggs by now. When I raised the americanas, I raised 6 of them. 4 of them were for another guy. He said 1 of his is laying eggs. I couldn't believe it would at 15 weeks. So if some one can help me guess when they should start laying. Thanks

Fred
