Cathryn....I see no injury other than missing some feathers....there are no cuts, blood, or bruises. I have no vitiman E, but need to restock on chick feed in morning for my silkie chick, so can get some. I do not think it is a predator, the pen they are in is close to the house, and I have never had anything try to get in. I was smart when hubby built it and we put the tiny chicken wire on it and the 'coop' above it, so they can get in there several feet of the ground that has no access unless you can unlick the door...I am thankful for that!
Since you are the silkie expert, question for you please......How did I end up with a beautiful black silkie in a pen with only my reds and whites,lol?!?!?
