RE: [CHICKENS-101] Guineas & Snakes

 

            Guineas will throw an absolute hissy fit over snakes.  They will also peck at them and if they are small enough, may even kill them.  The best part is they sound that “never to be ignored” alarm and won’t stop until the snake is gone.

 

            I just sold five more Guineas!

Hi,
My family is thinking about getting some Guineas and was wanting to know do you have any problems with snakes? We use to have a few stary cat's around that use to take care of any mice or rats that may be around but over time the cat's have gone away in just the last month my wife has saw 2 black snakes. yuk we raise rabbit's so we don't need any snakes around and was wanting to know if guineas would help to keep them away?
