I'm sorry, Di, I know the pain. I found the little body of one of my beautiful chicks today and it hurt a lot. It had become buried in the pen shavings when it was first killed. Life is sad sometimes. I just came in from stringing rope in my big chicken yard and while I was out there, balancing on a ladder, a hawk or buzzard flew over. Trees are too thick to tell the difference. I have to put my boarding Silkies into a pen tonight. I've already lost one of her Dorkings!
