[CHICKENS-101] MORE Guinea keets!

 

            I told you all the Guineas were hiding their eggs and #7 of 7 was MIA.  WELLLLLLLLLLL………this morning my DH called me at the Farmer’s Market to tell me there were FOURTEEN newborn babies following two Guineas around!  

 

            Then he called me back- said the chickens were attacking the babies and the mom was trying to defend them but too many chickens, so he caught all the babies and put them in a box………..moved two chickens out of my A-frame coop and put the box of keets in.  He waited a few minutes for the Guineas to go into the coop and then let the babies out of the box.  Oh…………..so cute and there are two light colore, five are Pied.  

 

            I still have 13 keets in a brooder in the garage……they are three weeks old.  

 

            Time to list them on Craig’s List, huh?
