Re: [CHICKENS-101] Novice Chicken mama

hey becky, i hope you have a screen or something on top of them because here soon they will learn to fly and we learned the hard way about that. the tote should be fine. i used one for our first ever chicks and then we upgraded when we really got into chickens. congrats on your new babies. i just brought home 2 Arucaunas from the feed store. i went and picked up dog feed and my daughter tayler who is almost 3 kept talking to them and i had to get them. lol so i have 2 new babies to add to the rest of my babies when they get bigger.

Hi all, we are new to raising chickens and just brought home 4 new babies today. All different. We have them under a warming light, food and water and shavings. Anything else we need to be aware of?
We have them in a tote for now and at what point do we need to be concerned about moving them? They are in the house for now.
Thanks,
Becky in Graham, WA
