[CHICKENS-101] Re: feeding charcoal

Jane,
the first female duck we had got hold of all sorts of metal and ate it,
and by the time we brought her in the house after a raccoon attack, the
metal started getting into her bloodstream and affecting her organs. We
got some chelating medicine, which was supposed to take the metal toxins
out of her blood and body and let it pass out of her body. We got her
medicines, which were quite expensive, into her too late, and she lost
the ability to walk or stand. I spent over $400.00 US, and ended up
losing her anyway. I imagine the charcoal acts the same way to poisons
in the body. I imagine there is someone more knowledgeable about how
charcoal works. Sorry if I am being redundant.
