[CHICKENS-101] Re: Asthma/allergies

I set up my HEPA filter yesterday and since the weather has warmed up I've opened all the windows. This helped. But there is something that helped even more:

I had to find some papers, so I looked in the drawer of my nightstand. The papers were shredded and staring at me was a small RAT! The drawer right next to where I sleep had rat poop and urine.

After cleaning out the whole nightstand, I noticed my breathing was much better.

The combo of the chicks and the rat was not a good combo for me!

Oh and we have FOUR CATS! I think this rat is a member of Mensa. It has evaded two peanut filled killing traps and got a peanut butter, bread, and chocolate open faced sandwich out of a humane trap which closed but the rat was not in it.

So yes, I too am reading the rat thread with great interest!

Everything is blooming at the moment. I am going out to buy another HEPA air filter today. The one I gave my daughter was about $250. Plus it has finally warmed up a bit here, so at least I will be able to open the windows.
